Schnelle Canadian Veggie-hack Casserole.
Rapide Canadien Veggie-mince Casserole.
You need:
- Veggie-mince
- onion, finely shopped
- Peas (from a can (drained) or fresh (already cooked))
- A can of corn kernels (drained)
- breadcrumbs
- butter or oil
- Potatoes
- milk
- an egg (optional)
- salt & pepper
- nutmeg
- A deep ovencasserole
Preparation:
Cook the potatoes en mash them with the milk and the egg. Season with salt & pepper and nutmeg, to your taste. Keep the puree warm. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Put some oil or butter in a pan and fry the onion. Now add the veggie-mince and fry it, season to taste . Arrange the baked veggie-mince, loosened, on the bottom of the deep ovencasserole. Arrange on top of the veggie-mince a layer of peas, then a layer of corn kernels and finally a layer of puree. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and put some lumps of butter on top. Place in the oven until the top has a nice crispy layer. Enjoy ! Bon appetit ! Guten Appetit !
TIP:
You can prepare all this one day in advance. Place it, when everything is cooled down, in the refrigerator (or put it in a cool place), until the day you need it. Put the layer of breadcrumbs and some butter on it just before you insert it in the oven.
