Belgian Liège waffles.
(For 20 waffles, preparation: + - 1h45)

You need:
- 1 kg. flower
- 75 gr. yeast
- 500 ml. lukewarm milk
- 500 ml. water
- 50 gr. caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 500 gr. butter
- 50 gr. honey
- 10 gr. salt
- 3 gr. bicarbonate
- 600 gr. pearl sugar
- A pinch of cinnamon
- A waffle iron
- A large bowl
- A blender / food processor

a kitchen robot or food processor/blender

Preparation:
Create and batter with 800 gr. flour, the yeast, the water, the lukewarm milk, the caster sugar and the eggs. Let rest for 15 min., then add the butter, the honey, 200 gr. flour, the salt, a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of bicarbonate. Knead until it becomes a uniform batter. Then let rest for 10 min., in a warm place. Add the pearl sugar and divide the dough into portions of 90 to 140 gr, depending on the size of your waffle iron. Allow to rest. Bake thick waffles on a low heat. For waffle irons with thin irons you use a slightly higher temperature.

Additionally, some nice household facts:
Of those bicarbonate you can also do a bit in your washing machine, that makes you wash whiter, a bag of baking powder does the same  !!!!
You know starch ? Well, if you add a few starch crystals or a little starch powder in your washing machine (in the wash, not the prewash), that will make your wash extra soft without great costs and in a natural and environmentally friendly way !!

Eat them,
